Guillermo invites singers to participate in a full week of learning and exploring circlesinging and collaborative-improvisation. Inspired by Bobby McFerrin, this artform encourages singer’s freedom, creativity, vocal skills, confidence improvising and singing in ensemble, deep listening and all-round musicianship. It can also be a wonderful experience of human connection at a deep level. Guillermo also includes yoga in his work as an invitation to open up body and voice and invite an experience of all- round awareness, stillness and aliveness and celebrate each person’s essential sound. Aimed at anybody willing to experience group singing and sharing, expand their musicianship and discover melodic and rhythmic patterns from diverse musical traditions and the joy of singing together. A valuable tool for all singers and musicians, music and voice teachers and group facilitators as well as anybody who enjoys being part of a choir.
Some exercises to wake up our body.
• Freeing mind, body and voice, becoming more available for musical ideas to occur. • Daring to express our vocal imagination and essential sound and to follow through with confidence and the support of the group. • Cultivating deep listening, and the capacity to respond, relate to another.
Circle songs are a form of spontaneous music-making and collaborative singing. In this experiential workshop we will develop skills of ensemble singing - blend, balance, tuning and sensitivity. Circle Songs also strengthen musicianship, understanding harmony and counterpoint, rhythmic precision and deep listening. A valuable tool for all singers and musicians, music and voice teachers and group facilitators. Aimed at anybody willing to experience group singing and sharing, who want to expand their musicianship and creativity, and discover melodic and rhythmic patterns from diverse musical traditions that can be applied to enhance their own musical language, through a process of sharing and vocal experimentation.

Quinta da Paz is a traditional family house from 1905 located in front of the golf course fields, 5 minutes walk from the center of the village. It provides great privacy being outside overbuilt areas. The distance to Machico and Santa Cruz towns is about 9 km.
